Product Care

Keep the stones, and the scent will follow.

Most of the care is simple wiping. The stones hold the fragrance oil. Treat them gently, and the rest of the set stays quiet too.

Unpolished ritual stones with a fragrance oil dropper

The stones

Cut rough, left unpolished.

Each still and within set holds a pair of mineral stones: rose quartz, Dream Amethyst, green fluorite, or volcanic stone, depending on the variant. They are cut rough and left unpolished, so the fragrance oil has somewhere to settle.

They do not need polishing, soaking, or sunlight. A soft cloth is enough.

Cleaning

Wipe, then let them dry.

Clean the stones when dust settles on the faces, or when oil starts to feel tacky. You do not need to wash them every time you top up.

  1. Lift the stones out of the vessel. Set the dried flowers aside. They should stay dry.
  2. Wipe each stone with a soft, slightly damp cloth. A drop of mild soap is enough if the oil feels tacky.
  3. Rinse the cloth, wipe again, then dry the stone fully with a clean towel.
  4. Let them air for a few minutes before they go back in the vessel.

Volcanic stone is more porous than the others. Wipe it. Do not soak it, boil it, or leave it in standing water. It is meant to hold oil, not to be stripped of it.

The rest of the set

Ceramic, wood, and flowers.

Wipe the ceramic vessel with a damp cloth. Do not put it in the dishwasher, and do not soak it.

The wood base prefers a dry cloth. Water can mark the grain.

Keep the dried flowers dry. Dust them with a soft brush if you need to. Replace them when they fade.

Fragrance oil

A few drops, when the room asks.

Start with 8 to 15 drops of fragrance oil on the stones. After 3 to 4 days, add about 4 to 8 drops. Oil can linger up to about 30 days, but the strength fades earlier.

Put the oil on the stones, not in the ceramic and not on the wood. This is fragrance oil, not essential oil.
